Very cool lighthouse that is unique where you have to hike a couples miles to see it (or use a water vessel), not like most tourist lighthouses where you can drive up to nd park near by. There are several different paths/trails you can take to the lighthouse...the main trail that starts near the campground and is basically a light gravel path walking right along the sad dunes, you can walk along the beach/coastline, or you can take the longer way on a traditional nature trail through the woods.

There is a 2 mile walk/bike ride back to the lighthouse. It is mostly on gravel so its not to hard. It is beautiful out there and the lighthouse is awesome. I have been twice and will be back. You have to have the Michigan recreation passport to get in which is 35 for the year but just found out you can get a day pass for 9.

It was a beautiful walk and lighthouse. The water is beautiful and it's a great place to watch the sun set.

Worth the little bit of a hike through the dunes and forested area to get to this little gem. Very nice area
