They employ a very dedicated and caring staff. Its immaculate and very well maintained They have a decent amount of activity as well. UNFORTUNATELY I feel as if they are gouging the residents with a yearly 9% rent increase every year. That is an unreasonable increase on a fixed income. The residents also complain that the food service has declined.

I interned and worked at the Atria Tanglewood and I loved it there. Atria Tanglewood was my home away from home. I never wanted to leave. The people that worked there and the residents all were so friendly, happy and fun! I had no problem getting up and going to work and for me, that is the biggest thing in life. There was never a dull moment at my time at the Atria. I had an experience that I will never forget there. I made so many relationships with all of the good people that are there and remain in contact with a few of my ex employees who I can say are now my friends. It is hard to stop talking to people that you click so well with. Larissa gave me a lot of inspiration, she always gave me the confidence and the motivation to do better and to never give up. And by watching her work with the residents and families and employees, she changed the way I interact with people as well. She always had a smile and was always positive no matter what the situation.

I had the pleasure of interning at the Atria Tanglewood and had such a great experience! The staff is exceptional. They go above and beyond by providing excellent care and services to their residents. I had the opportunity to work directly with Larissa, Julie, Nicole, and Lauren who are incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate! I loved it so much there that I decided to become a volunteer. I would definitely recommend the Atria Tanglewood.

When we were looking for a new home for my grandmother there was a lot to take in to consideration. My grandma was a very social woman who enjoyed her many clubs and church groups. Her move meant she would have to leave the area she had lived in for well over forty years along with her church, bridge club, and daily lunches with friends. The first time I visited my grandmother at the Atria Tanglewood I could not get over how beautiful the facility was. The staff knew my father and Aunt by name as soon as they came in the door. I was very relieved to find out that my grandmother had found several new groups to participate in. As someone who adored their grandparent I honestly did not know if any place would be good enough for my wonderful grandmother and Atria Tanglewood proved me wrong. The staff was very accommodating and kind to her during her time of illness. It was a relief for my father to know that his mother was receiving the \best of the best\ treatment from people who truly cared. As a grandchild it was great to see that my grandma was very happy in her new home and very safe. I was able to visit her regularly and she truly enjoyed her time there. I would recommend the Atria Tanglewood to anyone who is looking.

In looking for an assisted living center for our mother, we went to numerous facilities and providers. This is a very personal decision as the placement of your parent was of the utmost importance to my siblings and self. We had the unfortunate experience of finding a location that seemed a great fit for our mother. It was Atria Tanglewood. That was at first look but that unfortunately changed based on the demeanor of the person we interviewed with, as well as being told that the room we were shown and left a deposit on, could not be for our mother. These were two issues that left us sad, dejected and confused. We were not told of the unavailability of the room until we completed the evaluation of our mother. So it ended up being a complete waste of our time. The person who we originally met with, to discuss availability, accommodations and business with seemed not to know us when we returned for the evaluation of our mother. Previously, before we agreed to have our mother join the community, that person couldn’t contain her enthusiasm for us. Now she didn’t want to acknowledge us. Maybe she felt bad over the bait and switch of the room we left a deposit on. They showed us the different rooms available, one we felt was right, only one, so we left a deposit on that room. Now, after the evaluation we were told it was not available. Instead of looking at trees, they thought looking at the food and delivery area was good enough. No, it wasn’t. The manager couldn’t care that the mistake was made by her staff, and that we were heartbroken, because it became apparent that this facility was more concerned about money than their residents. That was a shame and added to our anxiety in finding the proper place for mom. I understand that these are businesses, but when it becomes so obvious what is prioritized, money over people, we were glad that this horrible situation occurred before mom moved in.
