So excellent! Found this place for a friend. She was treated with dignity and respect for the first moment, through the hours long intake interview. Kindness was a huge part of the leadership, while everyone is also required to do their part. Felt like one big family. Highly recommend

Friends of employees will get on here and lie and say it's nice here but I will tell you the truth! Please don't take your kids here if you can take them anywhere else, and I mean anywhere else because this place stay with bedbugs and it's just plain nasty. The only employee that gives a damn about helping you is Ryan, but other than her... you will get no help unless the other employees like you. They play favorites so if for ANY reason the other two female employees don't like you they will do anything to get you kicked out or make it horrible for you so you will want to leave. They tell their favorites your personal business like why or how you became homeless plus It's all kinds of drug use and drunks here (Which they allow, from what I saw) so if you MUST bring your kids here, keep them in your room with you and nowhere else in the house because being anywhere else in this place, you and your kids can get caught in someone's drunk or drug induced mess. Thank God we received help from somewhere else and moved into our house plus we both have good employment now . We relocated and needed help which we did get, it just wasn't from the Hands up Lodge. This is my honest review based on my experience. Watch someone ( friends of the other female employees) come right after my review and say great stuff !! It will be like clock work. Overcrowded. Monitors not professionally trained. Do not go to this shelter if you are educated and white and desperately need housing.
