The Weenie Stand NO. 1 has a special slaw recipe that was founded in 1948 by my mother Ruby Gay from Gay’s Cafe. My family and I relocated from NJ a few years ago to here. We have been searching for a fabulous little hole in the wall the entire time. I don’t know how I came across this one but I am so glad I did. Breakfast is fantastic as well as the other food. You get way more then you pay for and it’s cooked to perfection. The two people that are always there are EXCELLENT. I love the booths and the little spin chairs at the counter. It’s super cute. My ONLY complaints are ,that they do not serve breakfast all day. Please consider changing that sometime soon :) and the hours are really odd for first shift working people almost making it impossible to go in to sit down and eat. 7 to 3 Monday to Saturday is rough. But overall this place is still my FAVORITE in all of Lynchburg!

My son & his girlfriend live in Lynchburg. I had never heard of Weenie Stand. They were excited to take me! Boy, I am not disappointed that they did! I told Hubby he has to try that! My burger was excellent! I didn't know that anyone could put thatuch cheese ona burger & I am a cheese LOVER! My only disappointment was that I could not eat all of the food that I ordered! The hotdog was great! The burger was fabulous! The fries were good. Hubby wasn't disappointed to get my leftovers! We will definitely be back. This place has to be one of Lynchburg's best kept little secrets.

Great dogs, I get chile, mustard and onions not a big fan of the slaw. Fries were honestly rather bland so get salt and pepper ready. Onion rings were really good, made with whole onion slices, greasy but good.
