Half Cooked

Duct redesign by Russous. Had an issue with the first duct box where air wasn't coming through properly. Photos of initial install and proper installation. All American A/C installed the first duct design which didn't work properly. Will follow up with the new duct design pictures. **Update. Techs replaced the flex coming from the plenum from a 12 inch, to 14. Also installed 5 scoops to assist with airflow. 617 I never should have had to pay, but my A/C is finally flowing in places it wasn't before.

Saved by Roussos once again! Professional, prompt, courteous and reliable!!! Thank you guys for getting our ac up and running. Phillip went above and beyond making several trips for parts to fix the ac in our home in a very narrow time frame we had. He explained things, took care of the problem and felt like a friend or family member by time he left. Highly recommend.

Short anwser I would not have them install another system. They installed the ducting and system on my new home rebuilt from huricane michel and they basically just installed to small of a system. On 90-92 degree day it cannot maintain its to 73 degree inside temp while running 100% (its close to it but just cant get to it). There is no way that this unit is going to keep up with my house when we get to the 100-105 degree days comon inland bay county and even keep the house at 75. This system was installed one month ago and after contacting them they came out pretty quick and added more feron to the unit and rasied up the air flow on the air handler(which helped some of the air balance issues from there ducting). But they are sticking by that they didnt install to small of a unit. 2.5 ton for just under 1500 sq feet. Even simple online heat calculators say it should be a 3 ton system. 2.5 ton was only correct if u want a 80 degree inside temp. A ac unit should only run a 100% of the time maintaining the indoor temp only on the peak temps of the year. I fully understand what to big of a system leads (higher humidity and uses more power) but to small of a system will burn up fan motors and eventually the compressor which im guessing is what they hope for because parts warranty for 10 years means free parts but they will make money off of the labor. If i had the 10k to spend I would rip out this unit and put a 3 ton in and fix the duct work but i dont have money so im stuck with this for now. Fyi photo is inside temp of house at themostate on 91 degree day with thermostate set to 73. Notice middle of day temp is 75 degrees
