I love St. John's. It is a smaller congregation but one with open hearts and minds. The welcoming spirit has persisted throughout the years. I first came to St. John's not sure what to expect and on my own uncertain spiritual journey many years ago. I was greeted with literal open arms and kindness. The works I have seen and been able to be a part of at St. John's beyond it's walls has been inspiring. I have been able to connect with the wider community in ways I had only dreamed possible. Being a host for the performing arts, making blessing bags for The Night Ministry, being an advocate through action to improve mental health resources, and more. Since the pandemic struck in the Spring of 2020 the look of physical events changed at St. John's but the love didn't. Weekly connected through virtual worship services containing amazing messages and music to virtual book clubs the mission of this little church continues on. To show, through working together, that all people are welcomed, included, supported, affirmed, and engaged.

Growing up in this church, it has been such a joy to come back with my own children and have them surrounded in love. This is a true church family, who loves and supports one another. Pastor Kim has been a blessing to the members and pushes us to open our doors to the broader community. Every month there are new activities and events. And one of my personal favorites about St. John’s is the music - - - it is AMAZING!!!
