Unacceptable Customer Service Contacted Pine Straw Depot as a result of positive reviews, unfortunately we did not experience quality service. Requested a quote for 28 bales of pine straw, delivery and labor. Once the bales were delivered I was informed that the price did not in fact include labor. Miscommunications definitely can happen but upon calling Pine Depot to clear up the situation I was totally disappointed in how it was handled. Meredith answered the phone and had a very poor customer service attitude and approach. She was uninviting and short in both speech and disposition. Meredith passed me along to Paul McHale who proceeded to tell me it was my fault that the mix up occurred because they couldn’t have made the mistake. Paul’s customer service skills were equally as poor. Paul offered for the Straw to be picked up as opposed to focusing on the issue of installation. I would have been happy to work through resolutions but wasn’t given any to work through other than it was my fault. I was told installation could occur for 56 dollars; which isn’t a bad price. But the 56 when coupled with the poor customer service was a matter of future business. A company is judge by how they handle problems and conduct customer service when selling a commodity like pine straw. Pine Straw Depot failed miserably. Do not use this company because if something goes wrong it will be your fault and Pine Straw will not resolve the matter. Maurice & Kathy Grant
