We hired Glass Guru of Macedonia to fix three foggy windows. On the first attempt, they came unprepared to do the job and had to reschedule. On the second attempt, they removed the windows, realized the glass was too big because they had not measured correctly and put the old windows back in, leaving damage to the windows, frame and drywall. On the third attempt, they destroyed the windows. They left huge gaps in the frame, put the windows in crooked, left visible screws and nails, and there was black sealant leaking between the panes. The panes were not sealed properly and were as foggy as the ones they replaced. We now have to replace the entire windows, the framing, and have drywall repair. We have had several window experts look at the damage and they have said it was the worst window repair job they had ever seen. Glass guru will not return our money and demand a fourth chance at repair. In addition they will not pay for the window replacements that are needed because of the horrible workmanship despite admitting embarrassment over what a poor job they did. So what should’ve been a 2100 repair is now an 8500 replacement! In addition the workers were extremely messy and disrespectful to our home. They left caulk, nails and tape strewn across our driveway and garage. They charged dirty tools on our kitchen countertops as well as left drinks on your kitchen island. The house smelled of smoke when I returned and the bathroom was dirty. They even took a ladder to use without permission. I can’t understand how anyone could be so disrespectful to someone’s home and health during this pandemic. I hope this review keeps someone from having to go through what we have dealt with!

I’m happy with my experience with Glass Guru. I had a broken pane in a 50-year old window. Their tech, Tyler, did a very skilled and masterful job. He had to cut the broken pane out of the wooden frame and custom install a new pane. Tyler takes great pride in his work as the new pane looks perfect and you would never know it was replaced. I am very happy with the quality of the work. Office lady Katrina was very good at coordinating everything and was very nice too. I thought the cost was reasonable for a three-hour job materials. I’d have no problem using Glass Guru again on a future project.

Quick to respond and come out for a quote for a broken sidelight on our front door. After just a couple minutes, the person who came for the quote said they couldn’t repair the window to match the existing glass. Offered to send us options to replace- but we never heard back. Would not recommend for lack of follow up. Would have at least appreciated a call to say they couldn’t find a close enough match.

If you have historical windows in your home, Glass Guru does not know how to appropriately repair them. They broke multiple pieces of glass and trim and said nothing about it. Their solution for fixing the trim they broke was to nail gun it back together. They completed work in a piecemeal and inefficient manner, then charged an hourly rate. They replaced ropes in the windows with the incorrect material. They split a wooden window frame by installing a pulley that was too large. They did not check with us before completing certain tasks. They were unprofessional and non-communicative throughout the process. I ended up fixing the windows myself.

Run!!!!! Do not do business with this company! I never write reviews good or bad, however, because of the way I have been treated by this company I couldn't stop myself. I hired this company almost 3 months ago, paid upfront (per their request) for the visit and the upcoming repairs, the person that came out told me they could get the parts to repair the 3 windows and would be back in a week, one month went by and I called to see what was going on, long story short, they had to set another appointment to come out because they didn't have the correct part numbers or whatever their excuse was, mind you this is for my tenants home, so I'm also getting calls from them asking me why their windows are not fixed. Now we are almost three months into the initial visit and the windows are still not fixed. I really want to focus on the absolute despicable customer service from their employee Katrina. If you enjoy being yelled at, not providing customer service at any level multiple times and pretty much being called a lair because she left you a message go with this company!!! I asked the customer service queen to have the owner to call me and he did, from a unknown number with no call back number and gave me a bunch of Covid excuses, mind you I just wanted him to be aware of how many times I was brushed off, lied to and treated terribly by his employee. They said they refunded my money today from 3 months ago, will see if I get that, however I'm where I started 3 months ago with nothing. Thank you Glass Guru and Katrina not only are my windows not being repaired, I have endured so much stress from my tenants and your shady company!!!!
