I pull in to the parking lot and didnt know where to go and tried to ask a man for assistance and I was completely ignored and he just kept walking even when yelling out his name. Then when I finally find the place I asked the lady where could I find forms for assistance, she made me feel like it was supposed to be common sense or something even though it's my first time being there. I felt like a complete low life

I just recently needed help with my rent. I never had receive help from any organization in my life. My husband left me a few months ago footing the bills. I'm on disability and a dialysis patient. He was paying the bulk of the bills, so my family has been helping me until I'm able to move. I have all of the paperwork they asked for but was turned down because the worker assumed I was trying to get help paying my rent every month. I felt highly discriminated and degraded. All black people depend on the system. I have worked all of my life and even after my health started failing. I'm also have a college degree and two certifications. I just needed help one time.
These folk help lots of people. I like to go and find laborers there just to offer a helping hand.
No soap for washing hands or toilet seats. Covid 19 hazard all day.
