I love Macy*s. I needed new work shoes, was planning on spending roughly 60-100, or maybe more, depending on the shoes. I found a pair on sale 53%, so they were 39.93. Thank you, Macy*s!

I like the Macy's in Peabody for the breadth of selections in each department and the helpful staff at checkout counters. The quality of the merchandise and name brands is reliable, and when Macy's has sales, the deep discounts are much appreciated. One drawback is having to wait in line or find a manned checkout counter as they are limited. Otherwise, I like that I can see, feel, and examine clothing and merchandise before investing in a purchase.

They were holding a sale when I came in, but you'd think I'd twisted the cashier's arm when I told her the shirt was supposed to be 50% off. After about 20 minutes of standing at the register, I finally got the right price. Fortunately, one of us was capable of using good customer service skills, unfortunately that person was not the one being employed by Macy's.

The ravages of in person retail were evident here. Sparsely stick store plus busy and not completely helpful associates. I asked where the checkout was and instead of walking me to a register, I was pointed in the general vicinity of an unmanned one. Then after that, was told I misread the attached sign and I needed a macy's card to take the additional 30% off. I left all the items I was carry6at the counter and will look for them elsewhere.

I was short on time but needed a hand blenderso i thought i would run into Macy's real quick and look. I asked 2 salespeole the direction to home goods and without opening their mouth to speak the pointed me in the general direction but like the explorer i am, off i went. I found the right dept but try as i might could not spot a hand mixer and there was nobody in the dept to ask. I left with no mixer. Bed bath &beyond here i com.

Low inventory and styles for the old folk. Some nice items but you have to search for them. Sad to see this once great store get so old and creaky.
