This is for all you men and women looking for mobility needs lets not forget children with disabilities also (cars vans trucks for wheelchair and scooter use).. I drove from Roanoke to get help from Carrie and Allie. They are the most knowledgeable friendly and helpful group of people you will ever meet. Their service staff headed by Scott is fast and dependable from stair lifts to ramps to door openers. The VA has made sure they I have the best equipment and the best people to service it. Independent Lifestyles is the group I would trust with all my needs I have purchased three mobility vans from them and would never go anywhere else, all the way down to hot a cup of coffee while you wait and a friendly smile to make you feel like part of the family. If you ever need help they are just phone call away from helping you. Please before deciding give them a call let them help you out.

Not a pleasant experience thus far. They were referred to me October 2019, to service a hoyer lift, and I'm still waiting for an order/service to be completed and it's February. Until I complained, in January, communication was awful, being little to none. As a resolution, I now receive spur of the moment calls to come by for service, after they finish with the person whom they scheduled in advance for. Hmmm... but they initially schedule others. If you don't mind constant reigamaro, go for it. But if you're outside of their local area, I certainly hope that it's not the headache that I've experienced: being constantly put on the back burner. If I'm not available then I have to wait another one or two weeks (or more, that's what I was quoted this time) until they're back in my area, and it's been 4 months. For a short notice request to drop by after they finish the scheduled appointment for someone else. And that's good service? Nope. Whenever I'm about to do business with a new place, I check reviews to weigh what to anticipate. I've come to learn that the reviews that are articulate and tell a bad story often tend to be warning signs. If it changes, I'll be the first to rectify this review, but I have little faith in them at this point. Buyer beware!

I came here to try to find something to help me be able to get my husband, Terry, in the Jeep. Couldn't use handicap van because we have a gravel long driveway, and the vans are too low. So I decided to try the XL seat which would bring him up from wheelchair to Jeep seat. Too tight against the door and no room to get his feet in . It took 3 people to get him in. So instead of keeping a seat that is no help, I opted to send it back. I saw no reason to keep a seat that costs over 5000.00 We only used this seat 3 times for my husband. The last time I used it to take him to Dr. When we were done, I had to get the man that did the bloodwork ( young man) help me. He said I hope it is not this hard for you all the time.so, long story short, it ends up costing me over 1500.00 after the 15% restocking fee, and the install and uninstall and 200.00 each way for shipping for a small seat that folds up beside the passenger seat. Yes, I think it is outrageous. I said all of that just so you will be aware and not fall into something that only costs you extra money if anything goes wrong. They say I'm bad mouthing them. Nope, just trying to help others. I would not recommend them. If you decide to, check and double check every thing. They sweet talk, but don't follow through with all of that concern they put out!
