Many of those girls do not need to be, nor are they benefitting from a penal situation. Most of their problems are parental. They need intense counseling and love, not lock down.

It's completely wrong to keep a child in this prison only because the parents have not come to get their child. If A parent doesn't come get their child that proves how unfit they are, so why not find different placement like a group home or independent living program? (Netflix Documentary)

It may seem odd to review a prison 5 stars. I can't comment on the prison, but I can comment on what they do for the community. Madison runs off the women in the prison from local non-profits to the street department, we would be lost without the assistance the inmates provide.

LOL on the comment below. That is a state law. There is nothing this facility can do about this. Building up self worth, education and new habbits is what this place is about. Maybe instead of the horrid church lady telling the ladies they will go to hell commiting a sin of homosexuality; meditation, breathing techniques, yoga and other religions should be welcomed! But let's be honest Indiana has always been behind!! They are doing awesome with what they have!
