I'm gonna leave a review here regardless of them closing, although which I don't advocate for such a thing, it is probably better that they are closing. Alot of stuff is overpriced for cheap and poor quality. Their going-out-of-business sale is basically overpriced furniture that you buy as is what the quality of that product is, and they don't mark it down for scratches and buffs on wood furnishes or frames, obviously left by people who don't care. And that place reflects people that don't care. People come in not listening to the policy that they don't enforce addressing COVID-19. The triple whammy is a little old lady, who by the way is more at risk, not staying six feet minimum away from people, did not wear a mask, and paid in cash. All the while the store accepted without saying a word. If I had to guess because of today's political climate which shouldn't have a place in this review, they didn't say anything because she was a person of color. This really should not matter, everyone has to play their part. I cannot risk getting sick and bringing it home to my girlfriend because she is immunocompromised. This policy should apply to everyone but since this place likes to walk all over you like the people walk all over it, yeah, I ain't pulling punches. Its probably better if this place closes if they cannot address such procedures. But also cheap furniture expensive as hell that you can probably find better at a garage sale. Maybe.

Well, 1 I work there (mineral pt) & they have the most AWWWWWEEEESOMMEEE Items & sales. And 2, you can NEVER GO WRONG WIT SHOPPIN @ PIER1. Sad part is, the 1 I work at we're closing this yr, September 20
Found the best Christmas decor there this season. Staff is always super nice too. Kelsey at the west side store was really helpful.
Goodbye Pier1. A favorite place in my younger days. After a party you could go there for a single chair that got broken or a table someone fell on. I was there 2 days ago and the place was about 3/4 empty....
Refused to take gift card because they are closing. Someone paid money for the gift card and you didn't return that money so you shouldn't be able to refuse the gift card. They claim they sent out emails and posted on their website that gift cards would expire, but if you are not subscribed or go on their website often, then what?
Great stuff too bad it's going out of business.
Shopping for furniture for a new home. It should be a fun / exciting experience. I'm sad to say Pier 1 has been anything but. Their products used to be more original than they are now, and I don't remember so many synthetic / processed materials. They sure kept their prices high when they did a switcheroo from real woods to composites though. They've got about 5 colors or fabrics that many pieces of furniture come in. So, not as much choice anymore. The quirkiness that defined Pier 1 in the past is gone, in my opinion. Other stores have caught up and surpassed what Pier 1 was doing so well in the past. Even though there was a noticeable dropoff in quality we still gave Pier 1 a chance and it's been a poor experience. This isn't specific to this store, but we purchased 3 items for direct shipment and two of them arrived damaged. The return process is shaky and slow. We are still waiting for a replacement on a simple console table. It's been WEEKS. Unacceptable. Specific to this store: we've been calling them and returning product to them for replacements and status on those replacements. They seem to be disinterested in helping us. We only want undamaged product, which is what we paid for. It's too much trouble for them, I guess. Maybe most people just accept a chair with a scuffed up leg, or a cabinet with a split rail for one of the drawers. Sorry, but we aren't going to accept that. I'd expect them to press the warehouse on our behalf to get our replacements, especially when they aren't back ordered. I mean, that's what several other furniture stores we've shopped in the area do. Needless to say, we are done with Pier 1. Other options exist, and we are having better experiences.
Not to helpful. Didn't enough of the products that I wanted, yet they said it was aye great seller or popular brand. Staff was some what pleasant while others ignored us. Overall it was ok.
