A beautiful, affordable getaway. You pull back on a wooded road that leads you to the historic cabin. There is a beautiful large pond, and if you walk a few steps into the woods you’ll see that you are situated on a ledge surrounded by the river and hog back ridge. Tons of hiking, beautiful woods surrounding the cabin and the inside of the cabin is just as beautiful. The large stone fire place and vaulted ceilings make you feel cozy and right at home. The wood burning stove in the quaint kitchen are a perfect sight while cooking up dinner.

The Strong Cabin offers two bedrooms, each with two sets of bunk beds; a living room with woodburning fireplace; Adirondack type chairs and a futon; a kitchen with stove and oven, refrigerator, sink, microwave, table and chairs and woodburning stove for heat; minimal cooking equipment and place settings for eight; a single bathroom with toilet and sink, but no bathing facilities; and one window air conditioning unit. There are hiking trails and access to the Grand River and Mill Creek at Hogback Ridge Park within walking distance. The private pond provides fishing for cabin guests only. There's also picnic tables, grills and fire ring. Bottled drinking water is provided but guests must bring their own linens and towels. Beautiful panoramic views of the Grand River from this rustic cabin are near by and provide and inspiring panoramas in any season. You may even see a Kayak race!
