We used this company before they changed their name from Spectrum. CHECK OUT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU ON SPECTRUM CONSTRUCTION. Their pitch is good but they are not men of their word.. in the end, they stopped paying the sub contractors yet Don and Dan were paid by us.. if we wanted the job to be completed, we needed to then pay the Subs ourselves. Before hiring, check out Spectrum Construction. This is who they were before they were required to change their name.

Our longtime standing professional relationship with Main Street Custom Homes and Remodeling LLC has been and always is a great experience. We at Overhead Door Co of Central Jersey (garage door and electric motor contractor) always look forward to working closely with them on the next project whether it be a boat house, new home, or renovation. Their philosophy for giving their customers a quality installation and a great customer experience is the same as ours. They are very meticulous and detail oriented from start to finish and Don, Dan, Dorie, and Todd are extremely pleasant, easy to work with, and readily available if any questions should arise.

We started working with Main Street Custom Homes on our remodel. We discussed pricing and ballpark areas of what we were looking for, and felt we were in agreement between the scope of work and pricing we were discussing. However, after we paid the 2K deposit and moved forward with the CAD Design the pricing we received was grossly inflated compared to what we were discussing prior. I feel we were realistic about expectations, however even with building in profit and overhead I couldn't figure out what was driving the pricing. When I contacted Main Street Custom Homes about the pricing their response was less than desired. Also, I don't feel we got the straight story on why they changed names for their company recently. We ended up having the work done at a more realistic price for the scope of work.
