Getting live Maine lobster in San Diego is an absolute treat. Yes, you need to cook it yourself. But if that's what you want, this is your place. I was very grateful to find out that Mainely Lobster & Seafood were open to the public on Saturday's from 10-2... double check their Facebook page for current status. The secret to finding them is .. suite 107. The guys were super nice. We were able to get 2 lb lobsters. A nice find. Lobsters we very tasty.

I have patronized Mainely Lobsters for over 10 years. They have great lobsters, reasonable prices and are great to deal with. The family of the owner is in Maine and the lobsters were swimming in the Atlantic just a day or so before you eat them. Amazing since we're on the west coast. While they are a wholesaler they sell to the public. Check out their Facebook page to see when they are open to the public. Enjoy and tell your friends there is real Maine Lobster here on the West Coast. Ayuh!
