Let me start off by saying I am giving Mr. Holmes Smith a 5/5 because his availability to come out my home and do my survey and his quote was the best around. Other companies were more expensive and could not come out for 3-4 weeks, Mr. Smith came out within a few days (as soon as the weather wasn't raining). Mr. Smith exceeded my expectations with his turnaround time that I didn't mind going to pick up the survey myself. All that being said, I recommend future clients ask him what could cause an up charge or let him know specifically what is in your backyard (like if you have a shed because we weren't asked). Nevertheless it still beat our other companies.

I called and asked for a quote for land survey with corner plats marked. After talking he gave me a quote and we went with his service. I was at work when they came to compete the job. When I got home the corner stakes were not all marked. I called him and asked why? He said if I wanted that done then I she to pay him more money. He refuses to ratify his mistake and keeps talking about it must have been a miscommunication and send him other companies quote???? I sent him the other company quotes and he never responded. I called him to ask about the service that I had called for originally and what I was lead to believe I was getting. He keeps trying to tell me that he gave what I need despite me telling him over and over that I needed exactly what I had asked for. Now he is threatening me saying that he will take me to court for slander because I want him to ratify the situation. Save yourself the headache and go to a different land surveyor, I wish I did.
