Academy Sports is a great place to shop. Their prices are great and they have a great selection to choose from. The store is always clean and the people are always super friendly.

I went in looking for their Fairtex shin guards and Reyes gear like they sell online. Turns out they don't carry then in the store which is no big deal. It's the customer service that bothered me about this Academy. I asked one employee if they had a certain heavy bag in stock. Instead of checking the system, he simply said \I have no idea.\ We were waiting to be helped at the firearm counter and the one person working didn't even bother acknowledging us. I didn't mind waiting for him to get finished with the customer before us, but he could have at least said hello or something. When I was working retail I would have been in trouble for doing that. We waited for 10 minutes then left. I hope they work on their customer service because it really is a nice store with a good selection of sporting goods.
I have stopped by here many times. More so this year when it comes to getting workout items and weights. I'd especially would like to thank the staff for being knowledgeable and friendly. Supper happy I was able to get the things I needed today.
Nice store with good people. Always are willing to help you. I had a 15 minutes conversation with the store manager ( accidentally met him there), who gave me very detailed advise which gun to buy. He did try to sell what they had; wanted to help me to get what I needed. Appreciate that help!
Good overall experience. Wait was a little longer but worth the deal I got.
