RVR went above and beyond my expectations! They planned out a great weekend for our students. Given everything going on with COVID they had all the right precautions set up and did a very good job at keep all the groups separate from each other to limit the risk. They really are great at creating community and relationships with their guests. I truly believe I could reach out to any of them for advice for events I hold for my own students. They really do care about each group that comes to their camp.

Do not send your children here. While I had a great time during my camping experience, the harmful philosophies that this camp spreads is harmful to young people. Among the many things I endured, such as being shamed for believing in evolution, the biggest thing I endured that sticks to me this day was when I was a tnt here. One night, they separated the girls and the boys in the program. The boys played football outside while the girls were taught about purity. Do not send your children here.

We went as a family of 5, with kids age range 4-10. It was a FANTASTIC experience. Everyone was very conscientious in terms of COVID precautions and made us feel safe and comfortable - we had our own bathroom and all food was serviced packaged and we could sit inside or outside. The campsite was beautiful and there were plenty of activities for all ages, including our 4 year old. We bonded as a family and had a lot of fun. The staff was super helpful, they went above and beyond - for example our son did not pack long pants which was required for horseback riding, one of the staff went back to his own home and got pants to lend to us. The food was delicious and we truly enjoyed every part of the weekend. We look forward to going back and bringing other friends with us!

This camp is amazing! We bring our youth group every single winter for their winter meltdown retreat. They take care of everything from programs to activities making very easy to bring your group here whether big or small. If you're looking for a solid retreat center in Maryland this is the place!
