Update 5/15 - I tried to have dinner the other night - table near the door which was wide open onto Mission Street. Outside it was 53F, windy, drizzling. We were told the door had to remain open because it provided the only ventilation in the kitchen. Since we wanted to dine in a restaurant and not a barn, we left. Suggestion - if you want to have a popular restaurant, get the kitchen hood fixed. Seating customers at a table 5 feet from a wide open door in a 55F wind is a horrible way to treat them. I was a regular here, but I'm not going back any time soon... Previous review: I think this place is great. I usually order from the laotian menu, and ask for recommendations from my server. The people who work here are super nice. One of the best things about this place is that it is a quiet place to have a great dinner. Tables are not packed on top of each other like on Valencia, so you do not need to interact with people at other tables. I've eaten here about a dozen times and it's among my favorite restaurants in SF. Also, this place is way out of the way, good street parking, no one "hip" who rides a commuter bus to work makes it out this far for dinner.

This place serves descent Thai food. It's not great food, but it will pass if you eat there once or twice. BUT don't think you can eat there and have a nice lunch or dinner. The place inside is like an empty hall, high ceilings, with large amount of space in the middle, and it feels really really awkward. As soon as you step in you will understand that you will not want to eat there. And for some reason the floor of the restaurant is very very sticky, which makes you wonder how well they clean the rest of the restaurant and how much they pay attention to the quality of the ingredients they choose to cook with. But after all it's not too expensive. It's not cheap but you'll end up paying 15 per person total, so not too expensive. Yet for that price I'd expect a the food to taste better, and the place to be clean.

The food is really really good. The restaurant is pretty dark. More lighting will make it better. And a brighter and more noticeable sign out front would probably make the place more popular. I passed by the place many times and never noticed it, lol. But I would go back for the delicious food though.

We came here because my mom had some type of coupon deal (not sure if we would have found ourself in the Excelsior otherwise). The food was tasty and for decent prices, but the experience was a little off. The layout of the restaurant is really strange, and it feels like a trek to go to the bathroom. It was a chilly inside. It's nice to have both Thai and Laotian offerings on the menu, but portion sizes felt inconsistent. The entrees arrived before appetizers, but the weirdest part is that the rice was not available until the very end of the meal, rending the rice rather useless.

Fairly new restaurant in the Excelsior district. The district is not the best (I wouldn't come out of my way to come here but my BF lives near the area) but they serve good Thai and Cambodian food at cheap prices! Since this area is not that popular there is plenty of parking and seating. The owners are SUPER nice too.

Extremely good food made with authentic herbs aND flavor within a very short time. Price is bit high though. But OK for good experience and quantity.

Literally can never pronounce the name, but the owner is the nicest person I've ever met. I love your green curry!

Big portions and friendly service. I tried: roti with green curry (incredibly good), and spicy eggplants.
