I have seen the work of Beach House Design up close, for many years. I have never met a more meticulous, thoughtful, experienced team in my life, led by Jeff Strnad. His design and build skills, and ability to manage a project and the various moving parts are unparalleled. Once you talk to Jeff you realize you are talking to someone at the very top of their field. Building a home or doing major renovations involves thousands of steps, hundreds of decisions, dozens of contractors, and one person to be responsible for all of it. To say this is an enormous undertaking is a massive understatement. If you take quality seriously, and value your home and major asset, you'll talk to Jeff Strnad and Beach House Design.

This company built two homes directly across the street from my home in Manhattan Beach. For three years, the subcontractors showed up early, left late, blocked the street without a permit, blocked my driveway and parked in the red zone in front of my home. Despite being warned by the Manhattan Beach Department of Community Development and the MB Police Department repeatedly, they continued these activities almost daily. The Principal, Jeff Strnad, was rude, would not accept responsibility for the subcontractors that he hired and paid, and even cursed at me in front of my own home when asked to stop his illegal activity. One of the two jobsites was issued a STOP WORK ORDER by the City for the contractors' repeated disregard for the construction rules. To this day, they deny responsibility for the hundreds of violations that occured in front of and near their sites, despite the pictures and videos from my security system clearly showing their workers going directly to their sites from the illegally parked cars and trucks. This is a business to avoid if you care about your current/future neighbors and being a good citizen by using contractors that respect neighbors and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
