Be very careful if you rent Houston Street Ballroom, the event venue run by Initial Events. They FAILED to return our 825 deposit. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. We were very pleased with the job Zach and his team did at my daughter's reception in May. However, our 825 security deposit was to be returned within 30 days. 4 months later, I still don't have it and the vendor will not communicate with me. We did not trash the place; we stayed and helped clean up. We did not break the rules. It was a morning wedding, and everything was finished by 4 pm. Zach even remarked how nice it was to get away early, and that our caterer had done extras, like taking out the trash, that his staff usually does.
