So I stumbled across this wonderful food truck labeled the tamale addiction.it was a day right after they turn the lights on in Austin Texas. Let me tell you, I'm from San Antonio Texas. So I know good tamales. I would call these jumbo tamales they're not the size of traditional tamales that you buy by the dozen. And they have plenty of meat inside of them. They are delicious! And the thing that gets me is that they are gluten free, MSG free, lard free. And a couple of other things. I don't know anything about their prices because our apartment complex paid them to feed us, that is the entire apartment complex. I've never visited their restaurant so I can't comment on that. They do have I believe four or five different flavors. I tried the pork which is my favorite. I also tried the mole flavored which was, well tasted like mole. So yeah I highly highly recommend this place for tamale lovers...

Following Icepocalypse 2021, Tamale Addiction donated a whopping 300 tamales to the organization I work for! First of all, what a stand up business, giving back to the community and helping those in need. Austin is lucky to have them. Secondly, the tamales were delicious and big enough to be very filling. They've made a costumer out of me. I know where I'll be going next time I want tamales.
These are the BEST tamales in Austin (IMO). I love that I can stock up and keep them in my freezer whenever I get a craving. Local and family-owned.
I really love the tamales from this locally-owned and authentic restaurant! The pastor is my go-to. I usually stock up so I can enjoy them at my convenience.
Love some of their vegetarian tamales! My favorite is the poblano and I like the black bean. The poblano is the creamiest to me. Wish they had a jalapeño and cream cheese.
