I had the opportunity to observe in a HOMS classroom yesterday. It immediately brought me back to visiting HOMS for the very first time and reminded me of why I loved it and wanted my children to attend. Witnessing the interactions of the students today with their peers and with their teachers left me wondering only one thing… why would anyone start their child’s education anywhere else? Montessori truly fosters a love of learning, but it also teaches students to be respectful, of classmates, teachers, and their tools; to communicate well, including both listening and speaking; and to be engaged, as either a leader or as a student, whether in a group or working independently. The power of introducing all of that at such a young age is truly awesome.

Hands-On Montessori has been such a big part of our family over the last 3 years. The school has made a huge positive impact on our daughters and it’s really shown us what our girls are capable of at their age. We are so grateful for the wonderful years we have been part of the HOMS family!!
Both of my daughters have attended Hands On Montessori School, one for preschool and the other for both preschool and extended day kindergarten and both have had wonderful and memorable experiences. It is a warm, nurturing and educationally enriching and challenging environment and the staff is wonderful. They couldn't be more accommodating and are quick to reply to any questions or concerns we may have. Weekly and often times daily emails with pictures and explanations of what's happening in the classroom keeps parents engaged and involved and parent participation is something that is welcomed and encouraged. The teachers and directors truly value and respect the learning process and this is evident in the way that they teach, respect and care for the children. As an extension of our values at home, they have fostered a love of learning and critical thinking (yes, even at this young age!) in my kids that has laid the foundation for future successes in school and in life. Hands On focuses on the growth and development of the whole child, including their social and emotional growth as well as their academics. I can't say enough good things! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional early educational experience for their child!
I could not wish for a better school for my two boys, ages 6 and 4. We have been so happy here for the past 2 years for so many reasons. I am so impressed by the quality of education and by the school’s nurturing, positive environment. HOMS presents an authentic Montessori setting: the classrooms are peaceful, so clean and organized, and prepared. The teachers and administrators are amazing: highly qualified and some of the most loving and passionate people, dedicated to each child’s learning and development. My children’s senses of self-respect, creativity and confidence continue to grow and flourish at HOMS. Each child is unique and special in their own way, and it really seems that the HOMS teachers and administrators see that specialness and encourage it to shine brighter and brighter. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school -it is a fabulous community, and I am sure it would be the best choice for probably any child!
I'm not sure I could ever truly explain what Hands-On Montessori School has meant to my family and I. The ever-present sense of community, the incredibly loving, patient, nurturing teachers, the cozy classrooms, the dedication to my son's development...these are among some of the most wonderful things about this school. My son, now 5, has been attending Hands-On since he was 2 years old. Hands-On has created a little person who is fiercely passionate about learning and curious about the world around him. Having spent the last 4 years at Hands-On, my son has been able to explore the world of learning through multi-sensory materials at his own pace and in his own time, becoming confident in his abilities and independence. The teachers at Hands-On Montessori School are every parent's dream! From the moment my son started, I felt as though these teachers (and every teacher since) genuinely loved and respected my child. What more can a mother ask for??! I know that Hands-On has instilled a life-long love of learning deep within my son. I highly, highly recommend this school. You'll see what I'm talking about the moment you walk through the doors!!!
