As a past \user\ of Seth boy den I can proudly say that this is one of the best public elementary schools in America, yes it has had its difficulties, but the schools community of this school could not be stronger. It is an important thing for kids to know that they are not on there own, while still learning they some problems are meant to be solved alone. And I would like to say to all the people who say rude unfair things about how parents of the community are not working on this school correctly that you can shut up, and actually take a second and get off you phone and learn how the family based community works to make not only the students better people but to make the world a better place.

Unfortunately I had to give one star in order to post a review. Any school that cancels Halloween celebrations just to be liberally PC is not a school parents should send their children to. Crybaby adults need to grow up and realize the real world is not always about you. What a terrible lesson to teach the children - instead of learning how to adapt in life and move on, let's whine about everything. What about the 80% of the kids you are taking Halloween away from? Don't they have rights? Parents who allow the school to get away with this get a failing grade too. Our schools are being infiltrated by an evil agenda. Every year something else is taken from our children and new ridiculous policies are put in place. Remember when kids could say Christmas, have Christmas parties, sing Christmas songs, have Christmas plays and 'Christmas Break' was on the school calendar???? 'Easter Break' was on the calendar too. Remember when kids could wear patriotic and US Flag shirts and say the Pledge with pride? Our poor kids are confused victims. They are afraid they will say or do something wrong because the ules\ change daily. Parents waking up to this indoctrination is not enough. They MUST take immediate action!!!!! SAVE OUR CHILDREN!!!!!

Seth Boyden is an excellent, innovative school that serves all students well, from the academically advanced to those with a variety of challenges. The curriculum is innovative, from the multi-age classrooms (with ten first-graders and ten second-graders in each class) to the Strawberry Fields garden where the children grow their own vegetables. Our daughter's teachers have been outstanding; the one this year is simply phenomenal. She keeps the classroom calm but fun, knows all of her students extremely well, and gently but firmly expects the best from each one. Our daughter and her classmates have made huge strides this year academically and socially. The school community is wonderful, too -- welcoming, interesting, unpretentious. The 200 volunteers who have helped to make the Outdoor Learning Center (OLC) a reality is a testament to the dedication of the students' families to the school. The OLC, where kids can sit at outdoor tables and learn at a huge chalkboard next to a habitat garden, is another cutting-edge aspect of the Seth Boyden education. Our daughter loves the school, and so do we!
