She was great at 1st until she prescribed me a medication to induce the mental cycle. I visited her 3x in one week with heavy bleeding that was causing me to be so weak. She sent me home everytime knowing my hemoglobin levels was rapidly declining! I got so sick that my mother took me to the ER where I ended up at 26 fighting for my life...needing a week in the hospital with 4 blood transfusions..after released I had to make a follow up where she BLAMED me for having a reaction and that upset me I refused to pay her 150 that I owed her because her negligence cost me 55,000 in medical bills and she sent me to collections and I ended up having to file for BANKRUPTCY! I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN a malpractice suit on her!

She does not connect with you at all. She comes in reading your chart on her computer and ignoring you. She stops and gives you 3 seconds of calculated eye contact. She asks how you are, then goes right back to your chart without even listening to your answer. She discounts questions as if they are need to know, and you don’t, or says we will worry about that later. She is not helpful and I always left feeling frustrated. I was having my second child and I don’t worry unnecessarily, so I was not asking her a million unrelated questions. As far as private exams go, she is how the other reviewers say. She doesn’t give warning as she starts and does not make you feel comfortable and the paper they give you to cover yourself with is cheap and too small. My overall experience was poor.

I hope other people read these reviews and never visit this doctor. My experience with her will always traumatize me when going in for a routine pap smear. I first visited this medical office and was told that my pap was abnormal and that I needed to see this doctor for further review. In the 3 years that I went to her (because I was young, scared, and naive) she performed 3 colposcopies on me. She told me that I had squamous cells that were prevalent enough to require a LEEP procedure right after the first colposcopy. When I asked her if there were any future problems fertility wise that I might encounter she simply asked me, \Do you have an actual question?\ She then recommended that I have my LEEP performed in a hospital under anesthesia because she thought I had too much anxiety, which billed my insurance over 8,000. I later learned that it is not common to be put to sleep for a LEEP procedure. I then had another colposcopy about 6 months later, only to find that my abnormal cervical cells had all returned and now I needed to have cryo surgery. This time she recommended that I take a Lorazepam to calm my nerves. After my cryo surgery and last colposcpy, my husband had finished his 4 yrs in the military so I told her that we were moving away. Suddenly everything was great and I had no more abnormal cells. For years following this experience I would go every 6 months for a pap to make sure my \cancerous\ cells hadn't come back. I was always terrified that I would get bad news that I would need some new surgery. To me, this is a person that shouldn't be allowed to practice medicine.

I will have to agree with the other reviews on Dr. Gasca-Holtz. I had to see her because my doctor was already filled. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and I had some concerns about the flu since right before I got there my daughter was diagnosed with it. She just looked at me and said well you don't have your flu shot so your going to get it, mind you my daughter had gotten the flu shot and STILL got it. She then moved on not even given me any advise or what I could even take. She read my chart and told me a needed to get some blood work done... well I had gotten it done 2 weeks prior to that appt. She listened to my babies heart rate for less then 5 seconds. She told me she was going to find my blood work, left the room and never came back. Her MA came in and said I was good to go. I will NEVER see her again. And if she is the only one there when I have my baby I will ask for the house doctor.

Unfortunately not helpful when I had questions. I got switched to her when my Dr couldn't see me during my pregnancy. After letting her know it was my first pregnancy & I had some questions, instead of letting me finish my questions/sentences; at the same time I was talking she was leaving the room & leaving me to talk by myself while she was telling her assistant what to do and where to send me as if I wasn't worth explaining to what I was supposed to get answered out of my question. That day she recomended a screening that might have not been necessary, & only because she didn't want to stay and answer my questions. Had two horrible visits with her, don't think I'd recommend her at all. Happy to say I went back to my Dr. John Amon
