Y is it when ever the power goes out we are without for days?? We even saw two trucks on mars hill yesterday. There are power lines laying in front of customers driveways. You cannot even talk to anyone from customer service. They kept hanging up the phones and I know it's not just us. The only way we could talk to someone was by chat through their website. They said no eta because of major damage. So y aren't we bumped up to priority I ask? We just had to throw out all our food and last x 36 hours before we had power. We were forgotten back here and it was freezing. All I can say is people we need to use our voices and vote for better people in charge.

I'd give a thorough review of why I'm rating 1 star but nobody has a choice of using another power provider so I'll save my energy

I get it. It is a utilities company, but I have had nothing but great experiences with Cobb EMC. I think its all about communication and how you speak to people. I've never been rude or hostile even if frustrated and it pays off. I feel fortunate to have them as a power provider! Thanks so much for working with me!!!

Terrible! They do not explain things in detail in your bill and when you call their customer service reps are not skilled in energy efficiency. I call In almost every month trying to get an explanation on why my bill is so high. I am literally home for 3 to 5 days out of the month yet I am paying a bill of 177. They pull up electric usage and tell me that somebody is using electricity between the hours of 9 AM and 9 PM. I come from the solar industry and I am extremely conservative when it comes to electricity. Everything is unplugged in my house except for my refrigerator, ceiling fans and my AC unit! The customer service reps try to tell me that ceiling fans cost a lot of electricity to use. If you do research that is just not true that is something they want you to believe so that you won’t go solar. Most ceiling fans cost between two and .10 a day to use. Of course it depends on the wattage needed to run the fan. Cobb EMC also charges a very high monthly service fee. They refused to send somebody out to my house to do it energy efficiency check and tell me that it’s my problem. I used to work for Tesla energy and SolarCity out of California, I pay attention to my kilowatt usage. I do not run appliances during the day or during peak hours. I don’t even have my TV is plugged in or using them because I am gone so much for travel. This company has formed a monopoly and it is a complete tragedy that I cannot go somewhere else to get only the electricity I want to use. I wish Georgia would offer solar panels for homeowners so that I can get off the grid completely and pay for only what I use. The upper management at this company is also a joke. Nobody wants to help solve the problem. Avoid COBB EMC!

We have power outage since last night due to a storm. No one from CEMC is available on the phone and their website is not available, perhaps overloaded. An automated phone service said the power would be reestablished by 1:30 PM. It is now 5:15 PM and no one is available to provide an update. I had expected a better response to power outage situation.
