Nice trails, two different mill ruins, a pond, the creek... there's a lot to see in this beautiful park, tucked away in East Cobb. Parking can be tricky, but if you wait a few minutes a space usually frees up. Maps are placed throughout the park to help you orient yourself. Stay on trail, especially around the parking lot, as there is quite a bit of poison ivy in the underbrush. If you're rock-hopping at the creek, keep an eye open for snakes. They're not out to get you and most of them are not poisonous - they're just looking for food and sun. And please, please, please don't leave any trash behind!

More than ten years ago, I spent a day photographing a beautiful model. The river is very clear, and there are some abandoned old buildings, which gives me ample room for my photography inspiration. Unfortunately, the cobblestone surface in the water was so slippery that I fell into the river. Although I was fine, the whole camera was scrapped, fortunately, I still have a spare camera. This place is very suitable for portrait photography, wedding photography, etc. because there are not too many people to interfere with, you have enough space and imagination to play your strengths.

Great short hike. I did a 2.5 mile loop but you can make your hike longer or shorter. Exploring the mill ruins and hopping rocks along the shoal was cool. Don’t forget to stop by the lake. Also if you cross over one of the mountain biking trails be sure to pay attention so you don’t get hit. Enjoy the trails!!

Perfect spot for a weekend hike! The trail and paper mill ruins are great. Parking might be the only issue.

Very fun spot, for being so close to the city it makes for a great day trip for lots of people. It was a rainy day and there were still quite a lot of people but even so it was very lovely. The little trails running this way and that made it a fun adventure. Worth the visit! I also was told by a frequent flyer of the park that this is where all the photographers go for their portrait photography. Which I thought was a great tip.
