the staff and the owner are very knowledgeable and humble. i have gone to this store since i was a kid and the have had nothing but a kind and good attitude. they take very good care of their animals and the place is very clean. as a kid i have gotten plenty of animals and even now i get my animals from him. love the place and love that its a family owned business and not a big time corperation.

Went into establishment about a week ago to get some crickets for my baby bearded dragon. I saw that the crickets were rather large so I voiced my concern to the owner about them being too big for my baby. He assured me they were not too big that he feeds them to his babies. He told me since they were so big that my beardie would only need one or two every other day. I figured it would be fine, that he knew what he was talking about. Fast forward a week and my bearded dragon is no longer alive because the crickets were indeed too big for him. He got an impaction from them. He couldn't digest them and he passed away. I will NEVER step foot in that place again. Beware of people who talk too much and think they know everything.

Asked for superworms. Was told they didn't have any, all they got were large meal worms. Ok. Asked if anybody in town would have any. Was told nobody in town has them. They just aren't getting any. Went to Petco, 1/4mi away, had 12 for 3. So, nobody in town has any? Oh, and they were all alive too. Huh?

Pet Zone I’m pretty sure; is the oldest standing pet store in our community. The staff is knowledgeable. Personally, I’ve been doing business with Pet Zone for years. I choose to shop local. Even if I can get a better price elsewhere. Local businesses deserve my loyalty. Especially when the owners and staff are loyal to their customers and suppliers.
