I don't usually do this but this really grated me this morning... This company showed up in our neighborhood to survey a home across the street. Their crew decided to park their trucks on my lawn that was just installed this past fall, the ground is still pretty soft. Talked to the owner about a spring repair to fix any damage. He proceeded to lecture me on the town right of way, like I didn't know where it is and that his crew didn't do anything wrong. These guys may be good at what they do, but the condescending attitude of the person I spoke with, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

This was one of the worst unprofessional experiences. Mr. Brennan Marks, Owner and Principal Engineer, was hired to create a site plan for a residential home. The first red flag should have been the misspelled words and incomplete sentences in his contract. Over the course of the contract he charged me more than 3 times his original quote. His elevation work was so amiss it cost me well over 15,000 more for a retaining wall he couldn't and didn't design properly. During initial construction he had the audacity to state he made no mistakes in the design of the site to the builder, the site contractor and the retaining wall contractor. He put things in the site plan that were not necessary \because the Planning Board likes to see such things.\ In order to get a certificate of occupancy, the town requested a sign off from Mr. Marks on the completed site work. Mr. Marks stated he had concerns about drainage, but would sign off. A week later, he changed his mind and would not sign off. It was then I terminated his contact and hired another site engineer who reviewed the site plan, the actual site work and signed off. I went with the less expensive guy in the beginning and paid dearly for it! Mr. Marks has burned many bridges for his failure to perform. I would encourage all to steer clear.

I called Mark's Engineering, and right from the start they were fabulous. Courteous and professional, they promptly jumped on the project and finished it before the limited deadline I gave them and for less money than they thought it would be . I can't say enough good things about this firm, an absolute pleasure doing business with them.
