I lost my job in March during this pandemic . I recently moved. I applied for food stamps. They sent me a letter saying it’s a delay. Then they denied me. The person put bogus information, none of the information aligned with what I submitted. I don’t work but they put I do. Which is very upsetting because I cant reach anyone. They don’t even provide emails on the website of a supervisor.

the lack of communication here is outrageous. ive called, emailed, left voicemails, even tried the callback option when placed on hold too long. after applying to this office, Ive not gotten 1 reply, other than asking for the exact information i have supplied them 3 times already. when i do get through on a call the person on the other end cant help and im told they will send a message to my caseworker. AGAIN...this get you nowhere. out of all times to be left wondering about the status of needed benefits this is unacceptable.

They have poor customer service. They never answer the phone and when they do they don’t have sufficient answers. No one returns your call. They get paid to turn on this robotic machine while they do nothing.

It has been 22 days and the local office STILL has not updated my address in the food stamps card maintenance system. So I am now on week 3 of minimum to no food because I can’t order a new food stamps card. I am at my wits end idk what to do I have 2 kids and a disabled husband I’m terrified right now and this is so upsetting. I can’t get through the phone lines they are leaving people like me and my family out to hang during this pandemic. Food is so low in our house because food banks can only help us once a week and it’s not enough because of everything that’s going on in the world right now. I am so upset.

My appointment was at 830, I arrived at 820 and was back in my car at 912. I worked with the supervisor (a guy) and he was efficient and quick. He was respectful and pleasant and explained everything that he was doing. I went in with negative expectations but he changed that. Thanks a lot!
