Great experience, yes it's small but very enjoyable.

Wow this is the dumpiest Renaissance festival I've ever been to. 12 per person to trod the acre maybe 2 lot of unmowed grass with 50% food vendors. I spent 15 minutes inside and couldn't bear it. It's like walking through a trailer park. The staff was essentially children and teenagers and the road to enter was a bumpy 1 lane dirt road. I am so disappointed I was really hoping for something decent.
While it is a small fair the vendors and actors are fun and genuine. Dress up and save 2 on the entry fee.
Lots of fun!!
The set up of the fair is great this year. They have soap making, armor making, games, food, a beer/mead garden, equestrian games, pony rides, puppies and much more! The grass is wonderful, no mud! The entertainment is great, I saw a magic show, singers, harpist, face painters, and dancers. But I know I missed a bunch. The weather prevented the horse demonstration in the evening, but the morning demo was great! The price for entry is only 12 for adults, 6 for kids. Which is way inexpensive. I paid 35 per person, 5 in my family (175 just to go in), last year at another renaissance festival. Maybe if they charged more they could make it even bigger and better. But then people would complain, I'm sure.
The Renaissance Festival and Faire is a lot of fun. We always go at least once a year, usually dressed up. I like the interactive booths and if you take your time in each one, you'll find that every artisan, historian, or shop keeper has something unique to contribute to the over all feel of the Faire.
We had a pretty good time. It seems to be getting less and less vendors every year. I don't know if that's because of the themed weekends or what?
Been to free festivals that where better. The actors where bad. The best part was being taught how to throw axes.
