We tried for months to get a psychiatry appointment for my step daughter. She needed to be re-diagnosed. The people we talked to were nice, but when we finally got an appointment it was only with a nurse instead of a licensed mental health professional. They never told us it wasn’t actually a therapy appointment. We were charged the full price of an initial appointment and the doctor they referred us to was very rude and did not care about the patient’s situation. Medicine was just thrown at her without understanding the complexity of the situation. We could not manage to get a hold of someone to discuss what happened or set up another appointment.

Been a client here twice for addiction treatment and psychiatry. If you're vested in getting REAL help and be HONEST with them and yourself, it really can work! You gotta do things as they see fit too. I see the Dr for meds but it's the counselors that have changed my way of thinking and my way of living. It can sometimes be daunting but look at what your there for.....Its never a good thing to begin with to have to be treated for these reasons. Due to the opiod epidemic, start out by letting them know you're truly seeking help and not just for medication. Medications are to assist in treating the issues, not cure them. That work, you got to do on your own. Its what you make it!! Everyone here has been really good to me. Be good to them too and don't hide. You'll have nothing to worry about.

Horrible group. Do not want to communicate with guardian and minimal services to client. They should clean house from top to bottom and begin. If I could give a zero, I would. Horrible!

talking about these things is always rough, this is a very low quality mental health facility. I went here because they accept my medicaid, but they spend so much time forcing you to answer irrelevant questionnaires. I wasn't there to talk about my past. Then, when i talked to the psychiatrist, he didin't even care about my opinions. He just made me answer more questionnaires, and most of the medication he gave me was completely irrelevant to my symptoms. I only suggest going here if you are completely desperate and need anything to help you, otherwise just try to take a deep breath and be in the present moment!

Wish that I would’ve listened to the reviews on here. Had one of the worst experiences here at east ridge. I went on my own accord to seek help for anxiety, depression, and ADD. Spent a total of 3 hours here and only got to meet with the doctor for all of 15 minutes to which he belittled my problems and told me to get over it and then handed me prescriptions like I was there looking for drugs. And one of those medications was an anti psychotic used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder to which I am neither of those. This place is fueling the drug problem we have in our area. For me, going to see a psychiatrist was a big step and something that I didn’t want to do for a long time and East Ridge completely ruined my first experience. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.
