Just tried this hidden gem in Mathis and I was pleasantly surprised. Wonderful place with great staff. Carlos came out and greeted me and my brother and he was a cool guy. Brisket, ribs and turkey was absolutely delicious but a great surprise was the in house jalapeno sausage. Just amazing!! Definitely be back.

Excellent brisket fall of the bone pork ribs and sausage had great flavor as well. A must try if you find yourself in the area or like myself are willing to drive out of your way for some damn good barbecue. Definitely worth the drive.

I ordered the pork ribs and they were excellent, the pinto beans were very flavorful. The reason I gave them a 3 was because I asked for BBQ sauce as well as pickle and onions and they weren’t included in my order. When they gave me my order I even asked them if they had included the sauce as well as the pickle and onions and they assured me they had. I got back home which is a 25 minute drive away to discover my order wasn’t complete.

The brisket is one of the best-tasting I have ever had and so tender. The pinto beans, street corn and macaroni and cheese are delicious, too. Sweet tea is perfect: not too sweet. We had sausage, pork ribs (delicious) and pulled pork, as well. The only problem are the flies that want to be all over your food.

WOW....we were heading back to S.A. from South Padre and got hungry so checked for places near us and just happened upon this place. We got the mini trinity with brisket, ribs and sausage...holy cow (literally LOL). The brisket was moist and thick cut, the ribs were fall off the bone good, the sausage was so smokey and had a good texture. The BBQ sauce was tangy and peppery, kind of a vinegar style but mixed with a Texas style. The potato salad had a lot of mustard, it was good if you like mustard potato salad ( I prefer a mayo/mustard mix). The coleslaw was odd with pineapple in it, not bad per se just not our cup of tea. They had good indoor seating and friendly staff.
