Very beautiful and well-marked trails! The Bridle Trail is the widest trail and the flattest, which would be good for children too. Brought my dog and he absolutely loved it! We went on another trail and wound up at the shoreline and got to see Nasketucket Bay, which was so gorgeous! My only negative was unfortunately it is deer hunting season and a hunter left the entrails of a deer on a less-traveled path.

Beautiful hike. Keep checking each other for ticks and stay in the middle of the trail to avoid snagging anything icky. Check the kids and dog for cooties a few more times after everyone takes baths or showers. You can download the trail map from the Buzzards Bay Coalition site, and there always seems to be a meeting in the way. Here they are.

Loved this nature walk. My son was shadowing at Mass Maritime so I needed to find a way to spend 4 hours. Although it was a misty overcast day, this was a great find. I saw a fox and 2 deer, one of which was in the path feet from me. I had to stand still and quiet as to not startle it and allow it to pass. The beach area was a great place to sit and reflect, while listening to the waves and other sounds of the ocean. It was peaceful, refreshing and a great way to appreciate nature.

Follow the wide path down to the beach for a spectacular view. Along the way enjoy the open fields and old stone foundation. Venture out on the Shaw Farm trail for dense woods with a soothing stream to cross over by a foot bridge. A fantastic reservation preserved for all to enjoy!
