Don't waste your time if you're renting a cruiser style bicycle for more than a week. This company has grown fat on tourists and doesn't care about service. Their philosophy must be, "there's always another cruise ship arriving". To give you an example, if you want to rent a bicycle for 10 days, they offer their weekly rate of 75. and 20 for each subsequent day. When asked why they wouldn't just prorate the rental for the additional days, the manager says their"system" doesn't allow it. To be fair, it's not the shop manager's fault, he's just following orders from the owner. So take your bicycle rental business down the road to West Maui Cycles, who's system has figured out pro rating and rent from someone who actually cares about their customers and is willing to treat them fairly, plus the bikes are newer and better.

A great way to experience Maui is on two wheels! My family was excited to see everything from road bikes to beach cruisers offered for rent at this location. The service was knowledgable and friendly. The shop itself was well equipped and we were very happy with the value! We are looking forward to more visits to Boss Frog's Cycles in Lahaina.
During my stay at a friend's house, we decided that we should do a bike run, just to wash away some of those stored fats. Gotta keep myself healthy. We looked for this shop here in Laihana because it was recommended to us. We found Boss Frog's Cycles a few minutes later and I met Shawn who showed us around. After picking the bikes, we set out on riding expedition around the Maui loop. We get to see lots of stuff and having a good time as well. It is indeed refreshing to ride a bike once in awhile. Will definitely come back here again for another run. Great service and the price is good too.
I rented a road bike to do the West Maui Loop from Boss Frogs and was extremely happy. 45 a day got me a Cannondale synapse, which is a really comfortable endurance road bike. It was equipped with bottle cages, a blowout kit and a set of Shimano pedals (I could have brought my own). I brought my helmet, bike clothes, shoes, bottles, gloves and bike computer (which they mounted for me). They had a limited selection of food, I bought a few Cliff bars for the road, but would love to have some jells for an extra boost. Service was really friendly and they answered more than a few questions about the routes and roads around Maui before I got there and before I left. I would absolutely rent here again.

I wanted to rent a bike on Maui. The bike I got was a carbon Cannondale with Ultegra components and in great condition. Eric, the salesman, told me exactly where to find some great climbs in the area. The bike felt just like mine, except a bit lighter.
Have been using a couple of 10 yr old Schwinn bicycles that have been stored outside for 10 years. They had finally secumed to the ravages of weather we took them to Boss Frogs for repairs. The young repairman Eric took a look and said major repairs were really needed and it might be cheaper to buy new bikes. We said do the minimum because we don't own the bikes they come with the place we rent. Well he did the minimum and the repairs only cost 30.00 for both bikes. It was a please tell suprise, work was good and cheap enough. I highly recommend this shop.
