This is the worst insurance company. The customer service is horrible. If you cancel your policy they make up miscellaneous charges just to inflate the bill. I canceled in the beginning of the month but they’re charging for the entire month. If l could give zero stars l would. Worst service and worst rates!! Run!!!! Also read the policy before you sign l was told there is cancellation verbiage in it. This is the only insurance company that l left that has said l owe a balance!!! I talked to others they said they experienced the same thing upon cancellation. If they were the only insurance company available l would open up my own agency rather than get insurance from them!!! Horrible experience!

As a new customer of Progressive, with a 3 year old house, car and 2 motorcycles to insure, we were initially given a great \teaser\ rate to switch to them. As we actually started the application process with an agent on the phone, which took around 2 hours, we were surprised how the policy premium kept creeping up little by little when the actual coverage needs we had were discussed. Even so we ended up saving a bit of money on an apples to apples policy switched from Farmers. This week I received an unexpected premium hike of 94 due to the home inspector's report which established that the roof was shingle and not concrete tile and that the house had more than 30% brick facade on timber construction. The original agent recorded upon application was told that only the rear of the house had cladding, so 3 walls were brick, and that the roof was indeed shingle like all the hundreds of surrounding new homes, not concrete tile as he had incorrectly recorded. Having just reached out to Progressive directly I had a conversation with Alex from customer service, who told me that the agent had indeed made a mistake, but that because the 3rd. party inspection had revealed the truth we were indeed liable for the extra 94. I was told the only way to reduce the new higher amount would be to drop some of the coverage levels instead. I am very disappointed with what amounts to a \Bait and Switch\ tactic that a company like Progressive should not be resorting to IMO. I am currently researching alternative, and hopefully more honest companies for my future business.
Dustin B. Has been my point of contact with progressive insurance. He has been such a wonderful great deed of a perfect agent. If it was my company I would promote him and give him a raise. He has been absolutely so greatest to work with and there for me under and as my advocate for an accident, that Allstate doesn't want to take responsibility for as they initially did. He has been very professional, polite and very knowledgeable. I honestly couldn't have gotten through this if it wasn't for him.
My son and I were in a accident three days after we purchased Insurance and they are doing everything they can not to pay. if you wanted to know if i had damage prior to insurance you should have sent an insurance agent out to check before you took my money and sent insurance cards and a policy. I've spend so much money on uber and lyft because they haven't approve me for my rent that my policy says im able to get !!!!
This company is a joke. They take your money. Blame the system. Then say sorry. I would never recommend. Not to mention a two week turn around on a claim. Run away
