We just had a picture window replaced by The Glass Doctor. The lady who attended my call was very nice and did a great job. I gave her some measurements and she was able to provide a quote. It is a fixed window, with specialized reflective glass. Since it required a custom cut with a curve at the top, she recommended we have the tech come and measure. They do have faster service for emergencies, but ours was not an emergency. Our window was still in place, just with multiple large cracks thanks to a confused woodpecker we hope does not return. I was given a heads up when the tech was on his way. The tech, Jese, was very friendly and efficient. I was told it would require a special order and would take another week to get in. I paid half upon ordering the glass. The Christmas holiday delayed things a few days, but Jese returned yesterday and installed the new window. What neither of us knew was that the former owner who built the house used a kind of glue cement (like Liquid Nails) rather than silicone to set the old pane in place… It had been cooking in the South Texas sun for close to 30 years, so it was hard as a rock. As a result, what would normally have taken an hour took four hours for him to remove the old glass and clean out the window frame. He arrived at 4 PM, and it got dark before he was finished. Jese worked hard and didn’t stop till he had it done. I watched him make the curved cut for the top of the pane and he did it masterfully… I was impressed. Speaking of being impressed, I was not charged extra for the job taking longer than anticipated. The initial quote was honored, for which I am thankful. Glass is not cheap and this has been an unusual year. The Glass Doctor was professional, communicated well and fulfilled our expectations and more. I highly recommend them to others, and will certainly be a return customer if ever in need of their services again.

When I called for a quote, the staff member was friendly and professional. I was able to get an appointment for the estimate the very next day. Plus, even though she gave me a only a 2 hour time window for that appointment, she still called me 20 minutes before they arrived. The work was scheduled only two days later and the technicians were friendly and on time. They did a great, professional job. The whole experience was perfectly painless. I will definitely use them again.
