As a student researcher, I visited Mr. Gonzalez's shop to check it out and discuss a proposal to fabricate a custom axel for testing train bearings. He reviewed prints and assured me that there would be no problem. Material was delivered to him and two weeks later he calls me to say he can't do the job and blamed the hot rolled material, saying it was out of round. He then proceeded to demand payment for messing up our material, threatened to sue the university and literally held the material hostage until receiving payment. All in all a very unsuccessful and disappointing transaction.
