The duck pasta is going to be bringing me back for a long time. It’s creamy and decadent, absolutely worth the price. The pork burger is tender and comes with regular and sweet potato thin fries, the perfect mix with the side of garlic aioli they give you. The orange blossom wine mixer is the perfect citrus pairing for the duck pasta. Creme brûlée was a sweet and refreshing end to the meal. Friendly service and great chef.

I'VE BEEN HERE MULTIPLE TIMES FOR DRINKS WHICH ARE GOOD BUT WENT BY RECENTLY WITH MY WIFE FOR A LATE LUNCH, AND I'D HAVE TO SAY I HAD ONE OF MY BEST STEAKS HERE, SERVICE WAS GOOD AND FOOD WAS GREAT, WIFE IS LIMITED ON WHAT SHE WILL EAT BUT SHE LEFT EXTREMELY HAPPY 5 STARS!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOLKS!
House wine and bistro has a very tentative staff apart from having a wide selection of wines it has a very romantic setting perfect for a casual meeting or romantic date the bee sting flat bread is amazing and the food which is a Italian Mediterranean twist is spot on I recommend it. Reservations are recommended don’t let your special loved one down by just walking in one of the finer spots in mcallen
Excellent food. The garlic lime shrimp was bordering on too much salt, but that almost too much is what I loved. The pork burger was very juicy and excellently cooked; nice blend of ground pork, with the cheese, bacon and wine-sauteed onions was excellent. Our waiter was very cordial and helpful, but I think they were slightly understaffed as I only saw two waiters, and even though we went after the lunch rush, they were pretty busy multitasking. Overall, 4.4 stars. Will be back!
House Wine always offers delicious food, desserts and wine. I love that they use local ingredients when possible and that the chefs are always willing and ready to modify my meal to vegan when I ask. The staff is so friendly and welcoming too! I have never had a bad experience here and always keep coming back for a great time with my friends or partner. Keep up the great work House Wine!
