Good luck to you if you are applying to rent a property with them and have any unconventional source of income. They don’t consider your application “complete” until they have set aside time to verify your income - regardless of how responsive you are to their requests. So whoever they choose to verify first is who becomes first in line to get the property. Even if you apply as one of the first online, you won’t be added to the list of potential tenants until they finally figure out which documents they need from you and find time to review them. In the lending world that could be considered “disparate impact” discrimination, but apparently it’s fine to do in the rental industry.
