I spoke with the admissions representative (Ashley is her name). I informed her of my fathers current situation. He is in a facility in Louisiana. She interrupted me and told me he would have to be transported by EMT from Louisiana to Georgia. I let her k ow this is not physically possible as his doctor said it’s to stressful on my Fathers body. She literally kept saying that was the rules. She did not offer any type of help or advice! Just a blatant nope he can only come here by EMT. That alone made me decide this facility is not fit to serve the public & the elderly. The people in these positions should be caring &ready to go above and beyond. Not Ashley though! I will give this place a hard pass!

My mother has been here several times in the past couple years, the last time being in Feb. 2020. The staff is so personable, attentive and kept me up to date on any changes with my mom. She never had to wait on her call bell to be answered and she was always kept very clean. She looks forward to going to Westbury when she needs rehab! I would recommend this facility to anyone!!
If anyone out there is considering placing a loved one in this facility.. PLEASE DO NOT!!!! There are COVID related deaths here even though no family or visitors have been allowed in since March.. Families want to believe their loved ones are safe in these facilities. I can assure you they are not. The lady who died ...yes she was elderly but she was not ill..did not have heart disease nor diabetes ..no cancer This dear friend of mine DID NOT HAVE TO DIE FROM COVID STAY AWAY!!!! They don't deserve any stars!!!
My mother was there for around 5 weeks from June to July 2019. I had previously heard horrible things about Westbury in the past, but a friend's parents were both there in the beginning of the year and she had no complaints. My mom had previously been to Laurel Park, Stockbridge, 3 times over 2 years and each time it got worse and worse, so I decided to take a look into Westbury. When I arrived they took me to see her room; yes, it is older but it was very clean!! After talking to the staff, I decided that this was a much better choice and it was!! When my mother enters a facility, I always go through and wipe out all the drawers, the closet, bathroom and bed. I have to say that it was clean!! I cannot say that about LP. While my mom was there, she had the best care she has had in a rehab facility!! The nursing staff, CNAs and therapists were all top notch!! They were not understaffed and the employees LOVED their jobs!!! My mom was so happy during her stay! I cannot say enough good things about Westbury!! She was on Westbury Hall.
The staff is caring knowledgeable and friendly. Its clean and smells good. They took very good care of my mom. They will call you anytime something is wrong or out of order with your loved one. I highly recommend this facility.
