Boxd In Properties

Update: property still shows as under contract on his website and all MLS data websites and have not closed. 2 months later and they haven't closed. I closed on another property in the same town in 30 days. Guess he should have answered my call to have a buyer who could actually close fast. For context I am a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and my day job is selling leads to real estate brokers throughout the US. 4,000 brokers nationwide. So suffice to say I have a lot of experience with brokers. And Bruce epitomizes why people have such a bad view of our business and real estate agents in general. I reached out to Bruce about a property he had listed which I was interested in purchasing for myself as an investment. Almost 2 weeks go by and he gets me zero of the information I asked for. Quintessential real estate broker who has no tangible information at all about their own listing. I have no idea why agents list commercial properties when they can't even answer basic questions. Maybe he's used to buyers who don't ask questions. He is your typical agent who slaps a property on the MLS and collects their fee not following up with an actual customer interested in purchasing. Not to mention I sent him several emails and left a voicemail with 1 mediocre response that \he was going speak with his seller and get back to me\. Then he sends me an automated email that one of the properties I inquired about is now under contract. Still not providing me with any of the information I asked about. Amazes me how some people stay in business with their terrible communication skills and lack of customer service. No idea how someone could be paying him a commission when he just lets buyers slip through the cracks. Seems hard to believe he is meeting the fiduciary duty to the seller and earning his fee. I was still interested in his listing like I told him from my last email but apparently he doesn't care.

I'm giving Bruce McGovern and his secretary, Melissa 5 stars! They helped my husband and I locate a rental property so we could move from Philadelphia to the Western NC Mountains. We have been happily renting one of his properties that he manages for almost 2 years now and he is always available when we've had any issues. Melissa has always been extremely nice and helpful on the phone. I highly recommend Bruce for any of your property needs, whether you're looking for a rental, or a property to purchase, or someone to manage your vacation home...Bruce is definitely dependable and trustworthy.

Very good he has always helped us when we needed it no matter how short notice. And the home is in excellent condition. We were promised a dishwasher when we moved in and it didn't work. we told him about it and he got a new one put in the next day. He is very easy to talk to and get along with. I appreciate everything he has done. We are very happy with everything.

We have been working with Bruce and his team since early 2019 and appreciate his service. We feel like Bruce \goes the extra mile\ to manage our property and ensure everything is in working order. This is real peace of mind. Bruce is a man of his word and I would happily go to him for all my real estate needs in Haywood County. Highly recommended. P.S. I just read one of the few poor reviews for Bruce, including one from a gentleman who only posts one-stars reviews- including a slam on the Sonic Drive-in for no longer selling sweet pretzels... I, for one, am grateful for Bruce's screening out malcontents. Whether you are on the buy or sell side, if you are decent and responsible, then Bruce is your man.

Wonderful business. He is a great man who has helped my family on numerous occasions. The few times we have ran into a problem with our property he would do as much as he possibility could to fix it, if it was something we as tenants were responsible for he would recommend what he thought would be a good solution.
