My Dad passed away in Florida unexpectedly. Not covid. McGuinness was a true blessing to me. I had no clue how to bring Dad back home and you know what it wasn’t my job too. Stephanie and Darrel let me see I could put my faith into their capable hands. When I got back from Florida, we had a wonderful celebration of my Dad and his life. They made their rooms into a journey of the chapters of dads life. The service was peaceful. When I asked about prayer cards to be memory cards- we picked out personal songs and saying, my old man loved. I know Dad was smiling down on all- losing a loved one is hard. When it’s very unexpected it shatters you.. and Darryl understood that before I did. He also got that Dad’s service was all about my dad.. and didn’t try to make my choices or Dad’s seem weird or not the norm. Even when I asked for need to know to go into my Dad’s obituary - It was something my dad said to people all the time - so why wouldn’t this moment be any different. Darell laughed and just said okay. I miss my Dad- but I’m so grateful to McGuinness for letting us treasure the person Dad was- and is in our memories- a witty, very dry sense of humor guy that so loved his family.. and was so proud to be a New Jersey State Trooper. I was lucky my dad wrote down everything for me to do for the most part(songs to play, photos to use, his obituary and so on) And McGuinness made his vision come true. So , Thank you

The staff were very caring and sympathetic to all my concerns. They did a GREAT job of honoring my husband, who was also a veteran of the USMC. Friends and family who attended the services commented to me how well his military service was honored.
From the first contact I had with McGuinness funeral home, all the way thru the process of having my fathers remains picked up and cremated, the staff was exceptionally caring and helpful. Even after our business was completed they still reach out to offer help, assistance and compassion. I could of asked for a better group of professionals to help with this tough time.
During COVID we lost our Mother and from the moment I called McGuinness I knew everything would be fine. Their concern and compassion for family members who have lost a loved one is outstanding. From first contact you know your loved one will be cared for with the utmost respect and compassion. The Directors and staff are truely professional and compassionate in these often overwhelming circumstances. They helped our family thru all of the decisions and preparations with such patience and understanding making sure our Mother was given a beautiful final farewell. Thanks to all of you for your incredible work you do.
Toni Marie and the entire staff were incredible. They made an unbearable process a little bit more bearable. Everyone was extremely kind and sincere.
