The staff is very friendly and surprisingly efficient. The entry fee is a bit more than a movie ticket, but well worth the fun in my opinion. My only complaint would be the crowd of children, but that is not the fault of the rink. Great value for the fun.

Worst place to ever ice skate honestly, it charges 16 and doesn't even let you go out to warm up on a cold day without paying an extra 6 to come back. I found a loophole and stayed at the tent to buy the skates and their policy was "If you leave you have to pay 6 to come back" we stayed at the tent and still had to be charged 6 which is honestly absurd. Go to Fairfax Ice Arena, honestly way better.
Dangerous with kids after lunch. They are given red plastic cart that gives them too much sense of security and they are not instructed to follow traffic in circle. They create hazard for people that are not advanced skaters as they often use the cart as a bumper car.
I've been playing ice hockey for almost two decades, but made the mistake of not bringing my own skates. The rented skates were totally edgeless. I returned them for a second pair and only the right skate had an edge. There were people careening around the ice using the red trainer things like bumper cars, causing a hazard to everyone else. I would recommend Fairfax/reston/kettler public skate above this place for sure. I would NOT recommend Tyson's ice rink to anyone I know.

Overall, pretty nice, but the rink is a little small and the ice was a little uneven when I was there. Skates blades were fairly dull as well.
Customer service is terrible here, no hi, welcome, thank you for your business, none of that. Very cold and rude older woman, the one who cleans the ice and hands the ice skates, she seems to hate her job and the customers, she had a very ugly attitude from my observation. My four year old was very sad he couldn’t figure out ice skating, I consoled him and told him that we would try again when he’s older, I went to return the shoes and helmet. I was told there was a no refund policy. Don’t waste your 15.
Vey poor and incompetent management. The worst I have seen run any business. If you are not a skilled skater take my word do not risk going or taking your family. You are risking a serious injury and a bad experience.
