I can't give enough praise or sufficiently show my sincere appreciation to Dr. Mesbahi and his staff! I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer before my 41st birthday and right as I finished nursing my 1 year old. I opted for a double mastectomy (not with Dr. Mesbahi) with delayed reconstruction. When starting breast cancer treatment, no one really talks about the Uncle Fester phase (as I call it) where you are bald, breastless, and carrying 50lbs of extra chemo weight. I'm not a vain person, but losing all femininity at once starts to take a toll on emotions. Once I started the reconstruction plan with Dr. Mesbahi and his team, everything was instantly better. If I had to guess, Dr. Mesbahi does not HAVE to work with breast cancer patients (and the hassle of insurance companies) but he chooses to because he truly cares about making a difference in his patients' lives. I had reconstruction using my own stomach fat (one bonus of breast cancer!) and it shows in my final results that Dr. Mesbahi really invests in his work. I am beyond pleased with how my body looks and feels. To top it all off, his entire staff is always courteous, attentive, and very responsive. They take the extra time to connect with patients and nothing is ever rushed. Thank you Mesbahi Plastic Surgery for making breast cancer a lot less horrific!
