I was pretty let down with my experience at Josie’s. I was seated between a meat cooler and a sink. The waitress was wearing her mask like a chinstrap the entire time, covering neither her nose or mouth. I was really hoping for a good authentic German meal, but neither the jagerschnitzel nor the apple strudel impressed me. The redeeming quality is that the guy in the kitchen (presumably the owner) and the waitress were very kind and friendly. But I was driving from Mass to Virginia, and took a slightly longer route to get some good German food. If you google “Best German food in PA” this is the first place to come up, so I had my hopes up and was sadly disappointed.

Absolutely wonderful! Authentic and delicious! I had the schnitzel sandwich, the potato salad was devine! My mom had the jagerschnitzel plate and it was creamy and delicious. Dad got the sausage plate and was so happy with choice! You must end the meal with a slice of the strudel. It's not too sweet and the crunch of the pastry is magnificent, all while the apples are soft and amazing. A little off the beaten path, but so worth the drive!

We had dinner here last night. It was incredible. The best meal I have had in a long time. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel, the cream sauce was fabulous and the pork was done to perfection. The potato salad I had as a side was delicious. My husband had the Sauerbraten which he also said was excellent. Only disappointing part, they were sold out of there desserts. We have a daughter in college in the area, will definitely come back. Was told by the owner all advertising is word of mouth. Hope this review helps.

Best discovery on our trip north. The food is traditional German would make my Nana happy it was so good. Make sure you leave room for the apple strudel it's made there and is a gift!
