Our family has been associated with Tender Years Mechanicsburg for the past 4 years. We have seen our youngest grow with them and mature into a smart, friendly, happy-to-go-to-school kid ever since. Their Kindergarten program is a blessing for parents like us who were confused when COVID struck. We are glad to have made the right choice since there were hardly any school closings and they made sure to keep the environment safe during this difficult time. The teachers are excellent and groom the kids very well for public school curriculum. She has become an excellent reader in just a few months since the start of Kindergarten. She made lots of new friends and loves her teachers. The teachers ensure that the kids get to have outside play time almost every day except during bad weather days. Best part is we as parents get to know what’s happening daily as part of photo/video sharing on the school app.

Our son was at Tender Years Mechanicsburg from the time he was 8 weeks old, until it was time for him to move onto kindergarten. We couldn’t have been happier with his care! In the early years we felt his care was exceptional, and the teachers cared for him like one of their own! This continued throughout the later years as well, but we also feel he has been provided a solid educational foundation that will carry him through kindergarten and beyond. We highly recommend Tender Years and will always cherish our time there! Tim & Alicia
I just posted this to Yelp and wanted to add here as well... My daughter, Isabella, was one of their first students. She started in the summer so she could get acquainted with the staff and other students before starting kindergarten in the fall of 2013. As a working single mom, I felt the guilt that I couldn't give my daughter a summer like I had growing up. Tender Years relieved me of that guilt, providing her with trips to the pool, wonderful arts and crafts, learning opportunities, ice cream from a weekly ice cream truck, and more fun than I would expect from a summer camp. Bella was more than prepared and ready when she started kindergarten half a day at Tender Years as well as bussed over to a CV elementary school. Tender Years escorted my daughter to the bus and was always outside waiting for the bus on the return, even in the rain with umbrellas! The entire staff was welcoming and very warm. The facility is under good hands with Kim as management. We're now in the DC area and have realized the value of the education received at Tender Years, now that we can compare. Tender Years was superior to the CV schools in preparing Bella for elementary school. It was her experience with Tender Years, not the CV school that better prepared her for first grade. She's now starting second grade in the next few weeks...and is just as enthusiastic as she was on her first day at Tender Years. Thank you to the staff and teachers for giving this little girl a wonderful educational and fun start to her school future. I can't say enough good things about this place, I highly recommend it.
Tender Years, Inc. is hands down the best childcare center in the area! The teachers are excellent. They are very attentive and compassionate and treat your children as if they are their own. The director (Kim) is very approachable and responsive, always does her best to help you in any way she can! The facility is new, very large, secure and clean. The playground is amazing and there are plenty of age appropriate toys and supplies in each classroom. My boys LOVE it there and I love knowing that my children are being cared for and taught by top-notch teachers at a fantastic center. Check it out. You'll love it too!!
