This little gem has a couple of great trails of varying lengths. Perfect for anyone wanting a good hike with decent shade over much of it with some history thrown in. My husband, son, and our husky all love this park. And as a bonus for the Pokemon Go players out there, there are plenty of Poke stops and decent internet coverage over most of the trails.

Pros: - Very pretty - Good amount of trails and not very crowded - Signs are informative Cons: - No bathroom at this site (but the Cold Harbor visitors center is 3 mins down the road and has bathrooms This is one of my favorite battlefields to visit.

We enjoyed the trail walk to the various battlefield overlooks, and seeing the memorials commemorating the troops from other states who participated. We had no idea such a bloody battle took place here. no restroom facilities here, but it's a very short drive to Cold Harbor visitor center with facilities.

Great history. Very good signage. Looking for some exercise? Good walking trails throughout the battlefield. Couple good memorial stones to walk to. Most importantly, read everything and connect this site to the other battlefields. Imagine the loss of human life on both sides... very sobering. The trails are not that tough so i would say it's great for kids to walk on as long as they are being respectful of the site.
