Why I love Mei Fitness? Where do I begin? I used to hate going to the gym, but this one is special. I feel at home. When I go in, I don't want to leave; even on days I feel tired. I love the writings on the wall. God is there! I love the music (one of my favorite aspects), the machines are AMAZING, and the staff is super friendly. I was there last night and saw the owner cleaning the side walk and ladies' bathroom. I mean, who does that? In my experience, most owners have their employees to do these type of things. That shows me he truly cares. I'm there everyday, so I practically live there-LOL! I love it!

I went here for 2 years, I initially came because I decided to prep for a bodybuilding show and hear good things. It definitely helped that it was a 24 hr gym. I hate to see this location go but if you can go to the other locations, do it. It was the best gym I’ve been to so far here in Indiana.
Best gym in Indy bar none. I’ve been a member everywhere from Lifetime fitness to anytime fitness, LA etc. Mel is always putting cutting edge quality equipment in, and the staff is exceptional! The membership fees are also incredibly reasonable for the quality of equipment you get to meet fitness needs for any goals you have. If you haven’t been to MEI, you’re missing out!
Joke show. Cancellation process is a joke, closed location (I would imagine because they’ve over extended themselves with other locations) was probably convenient that the lease was up. Would hate to be the person that shows up on Friday just now realizing they’ve shut down operations. Somewhat reminiscent of how the Colts left Baltimore. Maybe a better name would be “Mayflower” Fitness.
Mei fitness is the best gym around. Their three locations are top of the line. The Southport location that is a high end full exercise facility. All locations have everything you need. There are multiple squat racks and benches so you never have to wait on equipment. Mel is a wonderful owner and takes pride in his gyms. There are always new updates and equipment to help you switch up your workouts from time to time. After you finish your workout, you can relax in the sauna for recovery. I would definitely recommend this over any gym.
This gym has a great environment and is constantly adding new equipment. It’s the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to. The staff truly cares about their members. I’d recommend it to anyone!
Amaaazing variety of equipment! I love that the owner is always bringing in new pieces often. I am always able to switch up my workout routines to challenge my muscles. Broken equipment gets fixed with in a week. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves strength training!
Went in for a day pass today. The gentleman at the front desk, (I think his name was Chris), was beyond helpful in showing me the gym and making me feel comfortable. Will definitely be back.
